Obituary

Peter Howard Damico was born January 27, 1927 to Catherine and Jacob Damico of Syracuse, New York. He and his twin brother Arthur were the youngest of 11 children born to the Damico family.

Peter graduated from LeMoyne College, Syracuse New York with a degree as a History Major. He retired from INA/Cigna as an insurance adjuster for 30 years. Peter was a parishioner at St. Rose of Lima Church, where he faithfully served in various ministries at the Church.

Peter is survived by his 2 daughters, eldest MaryAnne Damico of Oklahoma, his brother Arthur Damico of Mississippi, step children and numerous nephews, nieces and their families. He is predeceased by his loving brothers, sisters and his wife of 13 years, GraceMarie Tullar Damico.

Peter went peacefully home to be with the Lord on March 4, 2019, trusting in God’s faithfulness and loving care.

On behalf of my mother Ellen Jane, I write with sympathy in memory of Pete. Pete called my mother 'Ellen.' He and my father Dudley first met at INA as claimsmen. Grace and Jane shared a friendship for years in North Syracuse, NY and Stuart, FL where the two couples played "many, many card games." Pete was a faithful Catholic and may the repose of his soul rest in heaven. Prayerfully yours, Kevin & Sandy Bamerick

I played golf with Peter and he was a witness when I got my hole in one at Seneca golf course in 1987 and when he saw me after that he always called me "Ace", great guy, I will miss him. Bob Collier, Boone, N.C.

We own a camp not far from Pete's home. Very often I would stop to see Pete and his wife on my daily walks. We talked about what was going in the neighborhood, but most especially, what was going on with their landscaping. They were a lovely couple. Rest in peace.

I will miss our texts and silliness, your repurposed greeting cards and all that made you such a treasure. Enjoy your heavenly family reunion, Uncle Pete. Love and peace.
