Michelle "Shelly" Welch (Banack)

Michelle “Shelly” (Banack) Welch, 57, of Volney, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2020. A native of Syracuse, Shelly grew up in North Syracuse where she was a 1980 graduate of North Syracuse High School. She resided in Oswego for the past 20 years.

Shelly was formerly employed as a Certified Nursing Aide. She enjoyed arts and crafts, swimming and cooking out. Shelly loved time spent with her grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her father, Anthony P. Banack in 2006, and by a brother, Tony Banack this past November.

Surviving are her husband, Allan Welch, with whom she has been a life companion for the past 26 years; two children: Chevonne Williams and Marty Banack, both of Oswego; her mother, Carol Montuori of Eastwood; two sisters: Danielle “DeeDee” (Vaughn) Sanders of Eastwood and Tammy Banack; 7 grandchildren: Neve, Austin, Juleesia, Shala, Unique, Daeveon, and My’asia; and her great granddaughter, Zarah.

Calling Hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, Mattydale, with a Service following.
