Phyllis G. "Phyl" Darmody

Phyllis "Phyl" G. Darmody, 89, of Eastwood, passed away Sunday, May 23rd at home surrounded by her family. Phyl was born and raised in Potsdam where she graduated from Potsdam High. She was the daughter of the late Allison H. and Hazel B. (Prue) Richardson.

Phyl retired in 1997 after 33 years as a facilities specialist for the former New York Telephone & NYNEX in Syracuse. She lived a full life and enjoyed her family.

Phyl is survived by her four children: Don (Jane) Darmody of Palm Harbor, FL, Leah M. (David) Darmody-Travers of Syracuse, Patrick (DeAnna) Darmody of San Diego, CA, and Janice Darmody of Syracuse; a sister: Margaret (Joe) Carr of Winthrop, NY; her 11 grandchildren: Erin, Kyle, Darcy, Sophie and Jack Darmody, Ashley, Travis, Cody, and Kacey Roberts, Ashley and David A. Travers; a great granddaughter, Daphne; and by her best friend, Isabelle.

At Phyl's request there will be no public services held and contributions in her memory may be made to the CNY S.P.C.A., 5878 East Molloy Road, Mattydale, NY 13211.
