Arlene R. Bukowski, 90, devoted mother, and beloved friend, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2024, at home. Born on June 7, 1934, in Syracuse, Arlene was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Bazydlo. She attended Bessie Riordan and graduated from St. John the Baptist High School. Arlene's professional journey began after attending business school in Syracuse, earning her business certificate. She worked for General Electric for ten years and retired from Verizon after 26 years as a computer operator.
Arlene was deeply involved in her spiritual community as a communicant of St. Margaret's Church, lending her voice to the choir and her spirit to their Socialites group. She also thoroughly enjoyed her participation in the Mattydale Hinsdale Seniors. She loved playing bingo with family and friends and camping in the Thousand Islands. Her love for travel was evident in her cherished family trips to Disney World.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 33 years, Ronald Bukowski, in 1992.
Arlene leaves behind her four children: Ron (Karen) Bukowski of Cicero, Lisa (Jim) Daily of Westvale, Mike (Tracy) Bukowski of Brewerton, and Jeff (Jessica) Bukowski of Central Square. She is also survived by her sisters, Mary Ann (Skip) Lewis of Campbell, NY, and Diane (Russ) Hartwell of Florida; her greatest joy was her grandchildren: Sarah (Jordan), Nick, Andrew (Kim), Brian, Jordan, Marissa, Jack, and Jace; and a great granddaughter, Mia.

Friends may call on Monday. August 19, from 4:00 - 7:00 PM, at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Road, Mattydale. A prayer service will begin Tuesday at 1:15 PM at the funeral home followed by a 2:00 PM Mass at St. Margaret's Church. Private burial will be held in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse.
