Joan Ashley

Joan M. Ashley, of Mattydale, died Saturday, September 16, at St. Joseph's Hospital following an extended illness. She was the daughter of the late George and Bertha Schotthoefer. Joan graduated from St. John the Baptist School in Syra-cuse. She is survivedby her husband, Robert Ashley; her sister, Rosemarie Zellers; her children, Daniel McDonald, David McDonald, Marsha McCarthy, Nancy Newman, Terry McDonald, Michael McDonald, Susan John, Dean McDonald, Amy Stebbins, Christine Stapleton, Carolyn Nicoletti and Kimberly Nguyen, along with several wonderful grandchildren and great-grandchildren. There are no calling hours planned. A memorial servicewas held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Baldwinsville, NY. Arrangements are entrusted to Krueger Funeral Home, Mattydale.
