Frank Aviles, 79, of Syracuse, passed away Friday October 19 in Mexico City while visiting family. Frank was a native of Mitchell, Nebraska and grew up in the country of Mexico.
Frank served in the US Air Force during the Korean conflict. He retired in 1987 after working at General Electric for 37 years. He was a member of the American Legion in East Syracuse.
Frank was predeceased by 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
Surviving are his two daughters, Alicia Peter LaFrance, of Syracuse and Gloria Damian Aviles-Rakowsky, of Miami, FL; his two grandchildren, Kaeden and Chloe, both of Syracuse; his two sisters, Maria Luisa DeLeon, of Mexico City, and Leonor Nunez, of Mexico City; his two brothers, Tomas and Agustin, both of Mexico City and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am Friday at Krueger Funeral Home, Mattydale. Burial will be in Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery.
