Barbara F. Mingle, 81, of North Bay, passed away Wednesday at The Cottages at Garden Grove in Cicero. Barb was born to the late Harold and Irene (Seaman) Kaiser and grew up in the Dunkirk area. She was a 1959 graduate of North Syracuse High School and went on to earn her associates degree in 1996 from Columbia College in Syracuse. Barb resided on Garden City Drive in Mattydale for most of her adult life before moving to North Bay.
She retired in 2004 after more than 15 years in the Accounts Payable Department of Carrier Corp. Barb was the Past President of the Mattydale Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary and the Onondaga County Firemen’s Auxiliary. She was a HAM Radio Operator under the calls KA2DVV and was active with the radio until her retirement. Since retiring, Barb enjoyed traveling with her companion, Joseph, gardening, reading, fishing, and living on Oneida Lake. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Barb was a communicant of St. Margaret’s Church where she volunteered as a Lector and a member of their choir.
In addition to her parents, Barb was predeceased by her longtime companion, Joseph Kulikoski in 2021, three siblings: Shirley Wells, David Kaiser and Daniel Kaiser, and her children’s father, Garth Mingle in 2018.
She is survived by her four children: Cheryl Kolodzie of Bridgeport, Susan Young of Cicero, Wendy Chipperfield of Syracuse, and Paul (Melanie) Mingle of Cicero; a sister, Diane Jones of Blossvale; grandmother to Charles, Christopher, Briannah, Rachel, Jeffrey, Joey, Hannah and Mason; 10 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Barbara had C 11, a form of Leukemia since 2005. She would like to thank the good care received from Dr. Roman and Julie Walker, as well as the infusion group at Brittonfield and North Medical Center, and the staff at the Cottages at Garden Grove.
