Barbara J. Winks

Barbara J. Winks, 71, formerly of Camillus, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025 in South Carolina. Barbara grew up in Camillus, where she was a 1971 graduate of West Genesee High School. She received her Nursing Degree from Onondaga Community College and worked in several area hospitals in Syracuse. Barbara relocated to Florida in 1977.

While in Florida, she worked for many years in the Neo Natal Unit and Home Care Pediatrics. Barb was an avid quilter who also enjoyed crocheting and was eager to share her crafts with family and friends. She was a member of the Amboy Presbyterian Church and a part of their choir.

Barb was predeceased by her husband, Gary Seguine in 2002 and by a grandson, Charles Smith IV in 1996. She is survived by her four children: Charles “Chuck” (Sandy) Smith of Syracuse, Stacia Seguine of Hollywood, FL, Thomas “TJ” (Jeanne) Seguine of San Diego, CA, and Michael (Pamela) Smith of Elgin, SC; a brother, Timothy J. Winks of Wilson, NC; sister, Marcia (Barry) Mace of Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren: Richard, Robert, Ian and Alex; and her four great grandchildren: Robert Jr., Sophia, Richard Jr., and Charles J.

Services will be planned for July 2025 with information as the date draws closer.
