Ronald P. Bellanger, 69 of David Drive, N. Syracuse, died Wednesday at Crouse Hospital. A native of Syracuse Ron was the son of the late Ronald & Eileen Bellanger. He grew up in Mattydale and resided in North Syracuse for the past 43 years. Ron also maintained a summer cottage on Star Lake for many years.
He graduated from North Syracuse High School in 1956 and retired in1995 after 36 years with the security department of the former General Electric Co. and Lockheed Martin in Liverpool. He served 10 years with the 138th and 174th Air National Guard and was activated to the Air Force during the Berlin Crisis. Ron was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima RC Church in North Syracuse and enjoyed antique and classic cars as well as gardening.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years the former Barbara Hoysak, three daughters Laura Buddy Hotchkiss of North Syracuse, Andrea Pieropan of Clay, Janis Stephen Becker of Macedon, a brother Alan Bellanger of Mattydale, five grandsons Clayton, Jesse, Cole, Frederick, Henry several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 pm Sunday at the Krueger Funeral Home Mattydale. Services will be 9:15 am Monday at the funeral home 2619 Brewerton Rd. and 10 am in St. Rose of Lima Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery
