Barbara Bieganowski

Barbara J. Bieganowski, 71, of Plymouth Ave., Mattydale, died Friday at University Hospital. She was a life resident of Mattydale and was the daughter of the late Robert and Ruth Garelick.
Barbara was a 1956 graduate of North Syracuse High School and retired last year after 10 years as a bus driver for the North Syracuse Central Schools. She was a member and past treasurer of the North Syracuse-Liverpool Lions Club, a long time member of the former 3rd Ward Men's club a member of the Salina Civic Seniors and the Syracuse Turners. Barbara was also an avid Bowler and golfer belonging to the women's 600 club and bowled in many women's classic leagues and women's golf leagues.
She was predeceased by her husband of 43 years John "Jack" in 2002 and her brother Robert Garelick. Surviving are two daughters Robyn Jastremski of Mattydale and Teri David Gonzalski of Cicero, a sister Penny Teddy Farino of Surprise AZ, four grandchildren Morgan, John, Jessica and Conner, several nieces and nephews as well as her companions Pooh and Rainbow who she saved from a puppy mill.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-7 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Road, Mattydale. Services will be held at the funeral home at a time to be announced on Wednesday followed by burial in North Syracuse Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the SPCA 5878 East Molloy Rd. Mattydale, NY 13211.
