Doris Boshart Bower

Doris Boshart Bower, 89, life resident of Syracuse, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. She was the daughter of the late Allen and Elizabeth Mors Boshart. Doris was a graduate of North High School, class of 1948. She was employed by Lipsy Brothers Furniture Store for 25 years as their bookkeeper and then worked at Retina-Vitreous Surgeons for 20 years as a bookkeeper/business manager.

Doris was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Robert J. Bower, in 2012, and by five siblings: Margaret Engler, Elizabeth C. Boshart, Ronald Boshart, Patricia Goettel, and Barbara Birdseye.

Surviving is her daughter: Margaret Youngmann and son-in-law, Robert, of Rochester; a brother, Allen Boshart of Geneseo; her two grandchildren: Scott Kirkpatrick and Nicole Neumann; two great grandchildren: Kristy and Jessica Kirkpatrick; and by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Friends may call on Thursday, August 27th, from 4:30 – 6:30 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. A Prayer service will begin Friday, August 28th, at 10:30 am at the funeral home followed by an 11:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret’s Church in Mattydale. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse..
