Alice M. Brewster

Alice M. Brewster, 74, long time resident of Beley Ave in Mattydale, passed away Wednesday, January 23rd, at her home. Alice was a native of Syracuse and resided in Mattydale since 1953. She was the daughter of the late John and Kathleen (Edinger) O'Neill.

Alice graduated in 1962 from North Syracuse High School. She retired in 2003 after 25 years as a claims processor for Excellus BlueCross BlueShield in Syracuse and was a communicant of St. Margaret's Church.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Judy Kucharski, in 2005, and by a brother, James O’Neill, in 2018.

Alice is survived by her two daughters: Lisa (Jay) Cartini of Brewerton, and Mary (Andy) Shaver of North Syracuse; five granddaughters: Nicole, Samantha, Jacqueline, Halie, and Hollie; her great grandchildren: Brayden, Jordan and Giovanni; and by two nephews: Mathew Kucharski and Tyler O’Neill.

Friends may call on Friday, February 1st from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, 10:00 am, at St. Margaret's Church followed by burial in St. Agnes Cemetery, Syracuse.
