Robert Brooks

Robert "Bob" Brooks, Sr., 65, of County Rte. 54 in Pennellville, passed away peacefully Saturday at Crouse Hospital. A native of Malone, he grew up in Mattydale and was the son of the late Henry Brooks and Helen Hall and resided in Pennellville for the past 24 years.
Bob retired in 2009 after 18 years as a truck driver for the Food Bank of CNY. Prior to that, he worked for 15 years at Mucci's Motor Truck Co in Syracuse. Bob was a member of St. Margaret's Church, a past president of the Pennellville Volunteer Fire Department and a former member of the CNY Rod and Gun Club.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of 44 years Connie in 2006. Surviving are three children Robert Joanna Brooks, Cathleen Ernie Brooks all of Pennellville, Mary Ann Doug Brooks of Orlando FL, two sisters Sandra Cirillo of Atlanta, GA, Debra Kennedy of Pooler, GA, a brother Billy Brooks of Mattydale, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren .
Friends may call from 4 to 7 pm Tuesday at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd. Mattydale; services will follow at 7 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in the spring at Riverside Cemetery in Baldwinsville. Contributions may be made to the Food Bank of CNY 6970 Schuyler Rd. East Syracuse, NY 13057.
