Shirley E. Brutcher

Shirley E. Brutcher, 91, of Pennellville, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse. Born and raised in Felts Mills, NY, Shirley was the daughter of the late William and Gladys (Meyers) Reese. She was a graduate of Felts Mills High School Class of 1945.

Shirley retired in 2012 after 20 years in the fitting department of Marshall’s Department Stores in Clay and Cicero. She enjoyed organizing family photos, doing geneology and loved to read Harlequin romance books.

Shirley was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Donald, in 2000.

Surviving are her four children: Donald W. (Joyce) Brutcher of Pennellville, Diane (Donald) Karlik of Phoenix, Thomas (Kelly) Brutcher of Constantia, and James (Cindy) Brutcher of West Monroe; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and by several nieces and nephews.

Contributions may be made in the name of Emily Grace Karlik to the Pediatric Cardiology Unit at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.

Services and burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
