Ronald R. Buck June 1, 2005 Ronald R. Buck, 71, of Plymouth Ave., Mattydale, died Wednesday at the V.A. Medical Center in Syracuse. Mr. Buck grew up in Scipio and resided in the Syracuse area for most of his life. He was an Army veteran of the 1950s and was sta-tioned at forts Lawton and Lewis in Washington state. Upon his discharge from the Army in 1956, he returned to the Northwest and resided in Seattle until 1984, where he worked as a short-haul truck driver and machinist. He loved the outdoors and spent many a weekend and vacation camping. He then returned to the Syracuse area and moved to Mattydale in 1997. He retired in 1995 after 10 years as a machinist at Freidel Paper Box Co. His wife, Lucille "Millie" Gauthier Buck, predeceased him on March 12, 2004. Surviving are his son, David J. Kimberlee Buck of Marysville, WA; a sister, Barbara Courtwright of Syracuse; two grandchildren, Ian and Katie. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Collamer Cemetery.
