May 12, 2005 Victoria A. Melfi Burkey, 84, formerly of Cicero, died Thursday at Loretto. A native of Syracuse, Mrs. Burkey resided in Cicero for 34 years and at Parkway Drive in North Syracuse for four years before moving to Loretto in 2001. Victoria was acommunicant of Sacred Heart Church in Cicero and was predeceased by her husband Frederick H. in 1977. Surviving: son and daughter-in-law, Fred J. and Lori Burkey of Liverpool; two sisters, Lucy Cerio of Sherrill and Jen Ritter of Syracuse; brother, Michael Melfi; two grandchildren, Daniel and Sarah. Funeral services will be 8:45 a.m. Tuesday at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale, and 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Friends may call 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Main Street School Early Education Program, S. Main St., North Syracuse, NY 13212. Krueger Funeral Home, Inc.
