Candice "Candy" Burnett

Candice “Candy” Burnett, 66, of Mattydale, passed away Tuesday, March 29th, 2022, at Crouse Hospital. A native of Massena, Candy was born to the late Lawrence and Margaret (Stickney) Snyder. She was a 1973 graduate of North Syracuse High School and received her Associate’s degree from Bryant & Stratton in Accounting.

Candy worked as a bookkeeper for Green and Seifter in Syracuse during the 1990’s. She was a former member of the Mattydale Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed raising cats in her home and time spent with her family and grandchildren.

Candy is survived by her husband of 40 years, Robert Burnett; two children: Tania (Chris) Carter of Central Square and Brian (Beth) Burnett of Mattydale; a sister, Karen (Joseph) Farruggio of North Syracuse; four grandchildren: Anthony, Nicolas, Hannah and Cody; and her fur babies, Jasper and Bella.

Contributions in Candy’s memory may be made to the Mattydale Volunteer Fire Dept. 173 E. Molloy Rd., Mattydale, NY 13211.

Friends may call Friday from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale, with a Funeral Service following at 7:00 pm Burial will be Tuesday, 9:00 AM, in Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse.
