Mary (Czarna) Pooler Button, 97, of Liverpool, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Crouse Hospital. Mary was raised on the North side of Syracuse where she graduated from St. John the Baptist High School. She has lived in Liverpool for over 70 years; prior to that, she resided on Free Street which is now known as Hiawatha Blvd.
Mary retired in 1984 after 32 years as an assembler at General Electric in Liverpool. She was a member of the Eastwood Senior Center and attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Liverpool. Mary enjoyed cross stitching, tending to her garden and home as well as bowling. She was an avid reader and loved traveling. Mary was known to be a very giving person.
Mary was predeceased by her first husband, Gilbert L. Pooler, in 1946 and by her second husband, Millard J. Button, in 1993.
She is survived by her two children: Charles (Joni) Pooler of Tampa, FL and Gloria Richter of East Syracuse; and grandson, Matthew Richter.
