Rose Calabria

Rose C. Garofalo Calabria, 83, formerly of Mattydale, died Thursday at Sunnyside Care Center in East Syracuse. She was a native of Syracuse and was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Anna Garofalo. She had lived in Glendale, CA from 1950-1980 and then in Mattydale for 19 years before moving to Sunnyside Care Center in 1999.
She was predeceased by her husband of 27 years, Louis Calabria in 2001 and three siblings: James, Dominick, and Angie.
Surviving are her daughter: Pamela Crosby of CT; her son: Ronald Crosby of WA; two step-daughters: Linda Robert Washbon of Chittenango, and Patricia Backus of Virginia Beach, VA; step-son: Mark Kelli Calabria of Mattydale; several grandchildren; two brothers: Thomas and Joseph Garofalo, both of Mattydale; her sister-in-law: Betty Calabria of East Syracuse; and brother-in-law, Edward Calabria of Mattydale.
Friends may call on Monday from 4-7pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Road, Mattydale. Services are Tuesday at 10am at the funeral home with burial in Assumption Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the family c/o Krueger Funeral Home.
