Mary Calpeter, 95, died Saturday at Loretto Nursing Home She was a resident of North Syracuse for the past 60 years and a former 15-year resident of Mattydale. She retired in 1970 after 15 years as a packer for borden's icecream syracuseformaly best ice. she was an auxillary member of the edward weaver VFW post, N.Syracuse;a member of the salina Civic seniors; the st. Rose of Lima senior CItizens; and was a communicant of st. margaret's R.C. Church, mattydale. Mrs. Calpeter was predeceased by her husband, Joseph, in 1981 and by her brother, Stanley Lenn of Syracuse.
Surviveing is her daughter, Jeanette Crandall of Hightstown, NJ; a son, Robert J. Calpeter of N. Syracuse; five grandchildren: Susan Doyle of CA, Steven Crandall of GA, Christine Crandall-hyman of NJ, Robert calpeter of NY and LynnAnn Calpeter of MA and NYC; four great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 A.M. wednesday at St. Margaret's Church, Mattydale. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetary, Syracuse. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale.
Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Margaret's Church, 203 Roxboro Road, Mattydale, NY 13211
