Antoni "Tony" F. Camorati, 98, of Maple Flats, died Monday, December 30, 2013 at the VA Hospital in Syracuse. A native of Westfield, MA, Tony resided in Mattydale since 1950 before moving to his daughter's home in 2010.
He was a US Army Veteran serving in the European Theater and P.O.W. during World War II where he received two Bronze Stars. Tony retired from the US Army Reserves after 29 years in 1977. He was a life member of the VFW Post #3146 in Mattydale and was a Past Commander of that Post.
He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, the former Gladys Wedge, in 2003, his brother, Dominic Camerota, in 1990 and by his sister, Julia Zacchio, in 2006.
Tony is survived by his two children: Nancy (Bob Alberti) Camorati of Cleveland, and Ralph Camorati of Cicero.

Friends may call on Monday from 5-7 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Funeral Services will begin on Tuesday, 10 am, at the funeral home followed by burial in Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse.
