William ?Rusty? Carlton Jr., 47, of Gildner Rd., Central Square, died Monday at University Hospital following a sudden Illness. A native of Fulton Rusty was a 1976 graduate of Phoenix High, attended Ohio Tech and resided in the Central Square area since 1984.
He owned and operated several businesses including Rusty?s Truck Service for the past 26 years along with Paddock?s Truck Parts and Rusty?s Axel Surgeons of CNY, all located in Syracuse. In his free time he enjoyed Snowmobiling and Four Wheeling.
He is survived by his significant other of 11 years Kathy Avery with whom he resided. A son Wm. David Carlton III living at home, a step-daughter Shannon Krause of Florida, their mother Cherie Slocum of North Syracuse, his mother Nancy Bill Steding of Central Square, his Father William Judi Carlton of FL, his Maternal grandmother Ina Manuel of Central Square, three step children Christopher Avery of Mattydale, Nicole and Patrick Avery living at home, five sisters Shelley Sadler of Rochester, Pam Parsons of Pennsylvania, Mary Lou Mills of Kansas, Roberta Welch of Central Square, Wendy Carlton, a brother William Steding of Central Square, three grandchildren Braeden, Corbin and Natalie, several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm Friday at the Krueger Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11 am Saturday at the funeral home 2619 Brewerton Rd. Mattydale. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery, Warners
