Nicholas J. Carno, Jr., 52, of Brewerton, died Thursday at University Hospital. Nick was born and raised in Mattydale.
He was a graduate of North Syracuse High School and received an Associate's Degree in Electronics from SUNY Morrisville. He was employed as a field service rep for Tandy Corp. and was a broadcast engineer and owner of Car-Cim Services, Inc. Nick was a sales manager for Aero Marina in Cicero. He was a member of the IACC Bowling League and a member of the Lampson Corp. Golf League. Nick loved to restore, collect and show classic cars, and play guitars, and enjoy time with his grandchildren. He was a communicant of St. Margaret's Church in Mattydale.
Nick was predeceased by his father, Nicholas J. Carno, Sr. and sisters, Theresa Angona and Sandra Crosby.
Surviving are his wife of 24 years, the former Marla Conway; their four sons: Nicholas and Phillip Carno, at home, Justin Dee Bartorillo of Mattydale, and Ryan Danielle Bartorillo of Cicero; his mother: Carol Carno, of Mattydale; his four grandchildren, Logan Duffy, Addysen and Justin Bartorillo, and Kiera Meneilly; brother: Ron Teresa Angona and brother–in-law Michael Crosby; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Friends may call Sunday, 2-5 pm at Krueger Funeral Home Inc., 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. A Prayer service will begin at the funeral home Monday, 9:15 am followed by a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret's Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse.
