Cosma "Susan" Cerio, 93, of North Syracuse, passed away Monday at home. Susan grew up and resided on the North side of Syracuse and also in the Mattydale and North Syracuse areas for the past 25 years. She was the daughter of the late Dominic and Mary (Forenalli) Barletta.
Susan retired in 1972 after 26 years as an assembler at General Electric in Liverpool. She was a former member of Our Lady of Pompeii Church in Syracuse and in her younger years was very active in the parish and the Pompeii Players.
Susan was predeceased by her first husband, Patsy Bovenzi, in 1966 and by her husband, Carmen Cerio, in 1993. She was also predeceased by two children, Anthony Bovenzi in 2011 and Jackie Bovenzi in 1997 and by a great granddaughter, Kyrie Bovenzi, in 2011.
She is survived by her three children: Patty (Richard) Gialto of Solvay, Marie (George) Winslow of Clay, and Christopher (Kathy) Bovenzi of Liverpool; two brothers: Dominick Barletta of Mattydale, and James Barletta of Clay; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 1 great great granddaughter.

Friends may call on Friday from 4-7 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale, with funeral services following at 7 pm. Private Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse.
