Helen Church

June 10, 1920 — October 23, 2005

Helen H. Church went home to be with the Lord, peacefully, on Sunday at the age of 85. Helen has lived in Mattydale since 1949. She worked for the North Syracuse School System as a bus driver. Helen was an Avon Representative before becoming a District Manager for Avon Products Inc. She also did volunteer work at the Salina Free Library.
Helen is predeceased by her mother, Grace M. Spencer, who passed away in August 1987 and her husband, Manley A. Church, who passed away September 14, 1998.
Surviving are her daughter Willis Diana Worden of Brewerton, a son Thomas W. Anita Church of Fulton; four grandchildren Charles W. Jaime Worden of Mattydale, Kelli and Aaron Church of Virginia; and Norman Monroe of San Diego, California; one great grandson Tyler of Mattydale, a sister Mary Safford of New Hampshire; several nieces and nephews, and her beloved cat Sandy.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Friday at the Calvary United Methodist Church in Mattydale, conducted by Rev. Joellyn Tuttle and Rev. Marcia Wickert. A reception will follow the service for family and friends in the Fellowship Hall. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens in DeWitt.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church, 201 East Molloy Rd., Mattydale, NY 13211.
