Howard ?Howie? C. Church, 83, of Breman Ave., Mattydale, died Thursday at Iroquois Nursing Home. A native of Syracuse he resided in Mattydale for the past 50 years.
Howie was an Army veteran of WW II and served in the Pacific Theater. He retired in 1985 after 34 years as a machinist with the Rollaway Bearing Co. in Syracuse. He was a member of the Liverpool Rod & Gun Club and a member of the Mattydale Hinsdale Senior Citizens. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years Catherine ?Kate? in 2001 and is survived by two daughters Janet Titus of Camillus and Nancy Couch of Long Beach, CA, 10 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Services will be 11 am Monday at the Krueger Funeral Home Mattydale. Friends may call one hour before the service at the funeral home 2619 Brewerton Rd. Burial will be in North Syracuse Cemetery
Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 6725 Lyons St. East Syracuse, NY 13057.
