Kathleen "Cait" Clark

April 13, 1945 — July 7, 2019

Kathleen “Cait” H. Clark, of Pitcher Hill Apartments in Mattydale, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2019. Cait was raised in Utica, NY , the daughter of Michael J. and Margaret B. (Bogan) Clark. Cait graduated from SUNY Oswego and received her Masters’ degree in Education from Syracuse University.

Cait worked in the Syracuse area as an educator, and later moved on to special education. She had also worked at KMART, the Franciscan Villa in Liverpool, and Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Liverpool; where she was a longtime communicant and active choir member. Cait’s life was devoted to helping others, as she selflessly volunteered for numerous organizations in the area. Her ministry to others was recently recognized when she received the prestigious medal for the Immaculata Award for Service.

Cait was also an avid sports fan, and people knew not to bother her when her teams were on. She was also a very active runner and bicyclist. Cait has run over 50 full marathons in the past 30 years, and biked 40 miles in a Race for the Cure last month. Although she always finished at the top of her age group, for Cait, it was always about the underlying cause that she was running or cycling to benefit.

Cait is survived by her loving family and all the friends she touched. In the spirit of her life, please honor her memory with a donation to your favorite charity.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, 9:30 am, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 425 Beechwood Ave., Liverpool.
