Lydia A. Cleveland, 84, life resident of Mattydale, died Thursday at St. Joseph?s Hospital Health Center. Lydia resided on Breman Ave in Mattydale for the past 43 years and was the daughter of the late Bernard J. and Lydia Dygert Kinslow.
She retired after 15 years at B.G. Sulzle Needle Factory in North Syracuse. Previously, she worked at General Electric Co., for several years. Lydia was a member of Malden Road United Church of Christ in Mattydale.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 35 years, Johnnie L. Cleveland, in 1979 and by her daughter-in-law, Edith, in 1995.
Surviving are her three children: John B. Barbara Cleveland of Avon, NC, Samuel L. Cleveland of Mattydale, and Lydia M. George Cusack of Parish; five siblings: Joan Doy of VA, Joyce Voorhies of FL, Nancy Schirtz of VA, Bernard Kinslow of Clay, and Mary Lou Miller of VA; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Friends may call Sunday from 1-4 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale, with a 4 pm funeral service following. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery, Warners.
