Donna L. Connelly

Donna L. (Arnold) Connelly, 66, of Holmes Road in Syracuse, passed away Thursday, March 26th, 2020 at her summer residence in Brewerton. The daughter of the late Alfred and Ada (Korb) Arnold, Donna was raised on the North side of Syracuse and was a 1971 graduate of Henninger High School.
Donna enjoyed her vast crafting projects and participated in many area craft fairs to sell her creations. She owned and operated Hillside Kennels from her home in the 1990’s where she bred and raised Golden Retrievers. Donna cherished spending time with her family and attended the former St. James Church in Syracuse.
In addition to her parents, Donna was predeceased by her siblings, Viola, Donny and Roberta.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Larry Connelly; their four children: Tammy Lewis of Nedrow, Larry (Patty) Connelly, II of North Syracuse, Mike (Amy) Connelly of Clay and Theresa (John) Trumble of South Onondaga; a brother, Chuck (Kris) Arnold of Mattydale; her sister, Charlene Arnold of PA; 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren as well as her husband’s family: mother-in-law, Patricia Connelly, brothers and sisters-in-law; and by several nieces and nephews
In lieu of flowers, donations in Donna’s memory may be made to the CNY SPCA, 5878 E. Molloy Rd., Mattydale, NY 13211.
Services will be held privately Wednesday. We will be live-streaming the services on Wednesday at 11:00 am via Facebook and our website underneath her obituary page.
