Ruth M. Cripe, 88, of Baldwinsville passed away Friday at St. Joseph's Health Care Center. She grew up in Arlington VA and the Minefield MD areas where she graduated from Western High School in Washington DC. She then went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1951 in Home Economics from the University of Maryland where she became a sorority sister of Gamma Phi Beta. Ruth has resided in Liverpool since the early 50's and then Baldwinsville since 1983 and also maintained a summer residence on Wellesley Island on the St. Lawrence river.
She Volunteered in the research library for the Antique Boat Museum in Clayton for many years. Ruth also enjoyed Tole painting, arts and crafts, Calligraphy and ceramics along with spending time with her family at the camp in the Summer.
Ruth was daughter of the late Clifford and Adelia Myers. She is survived by her husband of 63 years Charles "Chuck", two Children Bill (Laurie Prindle) Cripe of Berthoud CO, and Anne (Tom) VanValkenburg of White Law NY.
