Gloria Jean Curdt, 78, formerly of Central Square, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Elderwood at Liverpool. Born in Canastota to the late Edward Q.and Kathryn (Gugliotto) Izzo, Gloria Jean resided in Central Square for most of her life. She was a 1961 graduate of Paul V. Moore and recived her associates degree in Business from CCBI.
Gloria Jean retired in 1995 after several years with Crowley Foods. She was one of their first women sales representatives and was responsible for bringing the Crowley name to Wegmans stores. After that, Gloria Jean worked part time at Point Place Casino in Bridgeport. She enjoyed shopping and collecting porcelain dolls. She was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church in Central Square.
Gloria is survived by her daughter, Gina Curdt and Gina’s father Bob Curdt; a brother, Edward (Linda) Izzo, Sr. of FL; a niece and 3 nephews: Edward Izzo Jr., Andrea Higgins, Daniel and Jeffrey Izzo; 6 great nieces and nephews including Courtney Izzo; and a special family friend, Ron Tangorre, retired USAF.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Gloria Jean’s memory may be made to the family in care of Krueger Funeral Home 2619 Brewerton Rd. Mattydale, NY 13211.
