James "Jimbo" E. Daley, 57, of Mattydale, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015. James grew up in Fultonville, NY, where he graduated from the Fonda-Fultonville High School. He was one of 13 children born to the late Gerald and Mildred E. (Pierce) Daley.
James was a US Army Veteran serving actively during 1975-1979 and in the Army Reserves for several years. He worked as a tractor trailer driver for the past 7 years at Swift Transportation in Syracuse where he became a Diamond Driver and a mentor to other drivers. Prior to that, Jimbo worked as a carpenter for P & P Enterprise in Syracuse and as the Head of Security at Jasmine's Night Club in Baltimore and Gardenia's in Syracuse where he met B.B. King, and the Notorious B.I.G. amongst other celebrities. During his time off, Jimbo enjoyed spending time with his family and watching TV.
He was predeceased by two siblings, Gerald and Geraldine and his nephew, Christopher Hammond.
James is survived by his loving wife, the former Christine Dottolo, whom he shared his life with for 10 years; his beloved daughter: Tonya Daley of Syracuse; seven grandchildren: Devin, Alicia, and Joshua Hilborn, James Wallace, Christopher Stethers, and Madison and Kara Young; his four step-children: Danielle, Eric, and Desiree Sherlock and Shane Whitlock; his five brothers: Daniel of Kalamazoo, MI, Walter of Fultonville, Louis of Fultonville, Ronald of Amsterdam, and Paul Daley of Zephyrillus, FL; and five sisters: Debbie Daley of Amsterdam, Cindy Daley of FL, Linda Kilmartin of Port Crane, NY, Shirley Rulison of Amsterdam, and Margaret Campbell of Oak Harbor, OH.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-7 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale, with a funeral service following at 7 pm.
