Peter Howard Damico was born January 27, 1927 to Catherine and Jacob Damico of Syracuse, New York. He and his twin brother Arthur were the youngest of 11 children born to the Damico family.
After graduating from High School, Peter joined the Military, serving in the United States Army, with a tour of duty in France, at the close of WWII. One of Peter’s greatest experiences in his later years, was participating in The Honor Flights Program, where veterans visit the Memorials in the United States Capitol and are honored for their service to our Country.
Peter graduated from LeMoyne College, Syracuse New York with a degree as a History Major. He retired from INA/Cigna as an insurance adjuster for 30 years. Peter was a parishioner at St. Rose of Lima Church, where he faithfully served in various ministries at the Church.
Peter is survived by his 2 daughters, eldest MaryAnne Damico of Oklahoma, his brother Arthur Damico of Mississippi, step children and numerous nephews, nieces and their families. He is predeceased by his loving brothers, sisters and his wife of 13 years, GraceMarie Tullar Damico.
Peter went peacefully home to be with the Lord on March 4, 2019, trusting in God’s faithfulness and loving care.
A Liturgy of the Word Service will be held 11:00am, Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Krueger Funeral Home
Chapel in Mattydale, New York.
