Mahmoud A. "Mickey" Darwish

Mahmoud “Mickey” Darwish, born April 5, 1963 passed away unexpectedly on February 4, 2022.

Mickey was predeceased by his parents Abedlnabi Darwish and Mohammadia Darwish, Mickey is survived by his wife of 33 years Lynda Darwish, 7 children, Nicholas (Rachel) LaPointe, Tudy (Francis) Yemma, Yvonne Ackerman (Arnold Spears), Jennifer (Douglas) Paul, Shannon (Marty) Carr, Jason (Charla) Ackerman, Heather (Damon) Parmenter, 21 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and his beloved dog “Queen Petra”. Mickey is also survived by his 4 brothers Jawher Darwish, Rifat (Robiah) Darwish, Mohammad (Leila) Darwish, Ahmed (Dolores) Darwish, 2 sisters Gehad Abedrabbo and Robiaha Abboushi and several nieces and nephews.

Mickey worked as a loyal employee in the produce department at Wegmans for 25 years where he acquired many friends who felt like family. He was always cheerful with a smile on his face and known to make goofy comments which led to a lot of laughter by all who knew him. He was a loyal NY Giants fan (win or lose). Mickey enjoyed his fantasy sports leagues, playing kickball with his fellow Wegmans employees and he also enjoyed playing bingo on Friday nights.

Calling hours will be held 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Tuesday at Krueger Funeral Home 2619 Brewerton Road, Mattydale, NY. Services will be at 10 am Wednesday at the funeral home followed by burial at White Chapel Memory Gardens Dewitt.
