Edward R. Davies Jr.
Edward R. Davies Jr, 64, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico passed away on December 27, 2016 surrounded by his loving family at UNM Sandoval Regional Medical Center. He was born in Syracuse, to the late Edward R. Davies Sr. and Catherine A. Davies, where he lived most of his life as well as several years in Hinckley, MN. Edward was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 1534, in Rio Rancho, NM and a previous member of American Legion Posts 1832, in Mattydale and Post 51, in Hinckley, MN. He was most recently employed by Santa Anna Star Casino, in Rio Rancho, NM.
Edward is survived by three daughters, Rebecca Hansen, of Lakewood, WA, April Miller, of Saint Paul, MN, and Jenny Davies, of Duluth MN; five sons, Edward R. Davies III, of Rio Rancho, NM, Matthew Davies, of Hinckley, MN, Daniel and Ryan Davies, of Syracuse, and Joey Workman, of Kerrick, MN; sisters, Kathleen Irwin, of Mattydale, Mary Moore, of Liverpool; and an aunt, Alice Bloom of N. Syracuse; nephews, Jeremy Irwin, Christopher and James Besaw all of Syracuse and Scott Moore, of Florida; as well as one niece, Erin Case who resides in NC. Edward has 17 grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter, as well as several great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister, Judith A. Besaw, of Mattydale. There will be no calling hours. Services were private.
