Charlene H. Davis, 78, of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2022, at her daughter's home in Rockwell, NC. Born on April 11, 1944, to the late Charles and Veronica Penny, Charlene was a lifelong resident of North Syracuse and a member of the North Syracuse High School graduating class of 1962.
Charlene spent her entire career in the restaurant business. She worked many years at Grimaldi's and Rico's Restaurants until her retirement in 2014.
Charlene and her late husband enjoyed their summers at Brennan Beach in Pulaski for more than 20 years. Charlene also enjoyed making ceramics, bowling, and entertaining family and friends in their home of over 50 years. She was also a former member of the St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Mattydale.
Charlene was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Harry Davis, and her sister, Virginia Sposato. Surviving are her two daughters, Dawn (Robert) Frasier of Rockwell, NC and Robin (Kenneth) Fraser of Kirkville, and a son, Roy Cannon Jr., of Tampa, FL; 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren with another due in the fall, a niece, a nephew, several cousins, and life long friends Susan Waris and Ann Ayers.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Autism Science Foundation, 28 W 39th Street, Suite #502, New York, NY 10018 in recognition of her granddaughter Chloe.
Friends may call on Tuesday, May 24th from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm at the Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Road, Mattydale. Prayer Service will begin at 12:30 pm followed by 1:00 pm Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret's Catholic Church, Mattydale. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse.
