Frances DeFrancis, 97, formerly of 510 Gordon Ave., Mattydale died Thursday at James Square Health and rehabilitation center. A native of Long Island Mrs. DeFrancis resided in Mattydale for more than 50 years before moving to James Square in 1998.
She was a communicant of St. Margaret?s Church and was formerly employed as an assembler at the sewing machine division of New Process Gear.
She was predeceased by her husband John in 1986 and two daughters Betty Hartman in 2000 and Shirley Tupper in 2005. Surviving are a son David DeFrancis Sr. of Cicero, nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Services will be 9:30 am Wednesday at the Krueger Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Margaret?s Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Friends may call 7 to 9 pm Tuesday at the funeral home 2619 Brewerton Rd. Mattydale.
