Mildred Dennison

Mildred "Millie" S. Dennison, 90, of East Molloy Road in Mattydale, died Wednesday at Iroquois Nursing Home. She was a native of Romulus, resided in Mattydale for the past 46 years and was the daughter of the late Sylvester and Lela Mae Swinehart.
Millie was a graduate of Ovid High School. She retired in 1977 after more than 30 years as a secretary for the federal government at various locations including Hancock and Griffiss Air Force bases and the Sampson Naval base. She was a member of the Mattydale-Hinsdale senior citizens and a long time member of the Malden Road United Church of Christ.
She was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Gerald "Denny" Dennison in 2003 and her niece, Lela Marie Stahl in 1981. Surviving are her sister: Beatrice Hosford and her niece: Norma Hampsey, both of Waterloo.
Funeral services will be on Friday at 2pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Road, Mattydale. Donations may be made to the CNY SPCA, 5878 East Molloy Road, Mattydale NY 13211 or NAVAC, PO Box 215, North Syracuse NY 13212. Burial will be in Pet Haven Cemetery, Syracuse.
