Josephine (DeCicco) Detjen, 83, of Wells Ave. W., North Syracuse, died Saturday, December 28, at her son’s home in Naples, Florida. A life long resident of Syracuse, Josephine resided in North Syracuse since 1966.
She retired in 1993 after over 20 years of working at Penny Curtis Baking Company. She was a member of the Bakery & Confectionery Union and Industrial International Local # 116 in Syracuse. Josephine was a member of the Lutheran Memorial Church in North Syracuse. She was a lifelong supporter and S.U.'s #1 fan of their Football and Basketball Programs. GO ORANGE!!!!
Mrs. Detjen is survived by her son, Stephen of Naples Florida; two sisters-in-law: Shirley Amidon of South Carolina and Elaine Detjen of Mattydale; her niece, Louisa Giardina of East Syracuse; and several other nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Thursday from 4 - 7 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Services will be Saturday, 10 am at Lutheran Memorial Church, 435 S. Main St., North Syracuse. Burial will be at North Syracuse Cemetery.
