Wendy Dirk

Wendy L. Dirk Abbey, 47, of Dawns Ridge, Cicero, died Saturday. A native of Syracuse she resided in Cicero since 1980. She was a 1977 graduate of North Syracuse High School worked as an Account Executive in the advertising department of the Post Standard. Wendy was active in many sport activities including bowling and softball, especially with the Cicero Falcons Pop-Warner Football cheerleading program.
Surviving are two children Jennifer L. Dirk of New Woodstock, and James P. Dirk Jr. living at home, a granddaughter Julia Grace Schewe. Also surviving are her father Wayne H. Abbey of Kissimee Fl, her mother Judy Francher of North Syracuse, three brothers Richard W. Abbey of Kissimee FL, Jeffrey S. Abbey of Jacksonville Fl. Wayne C. Abbey Mattydale, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and Godchildren.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm Thursday at the Krueger Funeral Home. Joint funeral services will be 9 am Friday at the funeral home 2619 Brewerton Rd. Mattydale. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
