Mason J. Dishaw, 21, of Glengariff Drive in Brewerton, passed away Tuesday surrounded by his family after a lengthy battle with IPEX Syndrome. A lifelong resident of Lakeshore area in Cicero, Mason attended High School with the CNS Class of 2018. He loved history especially of WWII. Mason enjoyed shopping on Amazon and was an avid NY Giants, NY Rangers and Syracuse Crunch fan. He was presented a custom Rangers jersey with his name and an exclusive #17 as part of their Garden of Dreams program. Mason also loved the outdoors - camping, fishing, boating and target shooting. Everyone who met Mason loved him and he touched many lives. He loved watching The Office, playing Johnny Cash on his guitar and playing XBOX with friends. Everyone he ever met loved him as well as people that never even knew him. He was selfless and kept fighting because he just wanted to get married & have children. He will never be forgotten and we will continue to fight for a cure to this horrible disease because that's all he wanted, a cure so nobody will ever have to go through this again.
Mason was predeceased by his grandfather, Robert Dishaw, Jr. in 2002.
Mason is survived by his parents, Jason and Jamie (Collette) Dishaw, Sr. of Brewerton; siblings, Leanna Collette of Syracuse, Delainey Dishaw and Jason Dishaw, Jr., both of Brewerton; maternal grandparents, James and Kathleen (Manipole) Collette of Syracuse; paternal grandmother, Irene (Boruszewski) Dishaw of Brewerton; two nieces, Mikenna Collette and Millianna Wright of Brewerton; his aunt, Angelene (Michael) Brumback of Norfolk, VA; an uncle, Adam "Chipper" (Julie Cathers) Collette of Syracuse; several great aunts and uncles and many cousins.
