William Dollison

William ?Bill? E. Dollison, 84, of South Florida Road, Mattydale, passed away Friday at St. Joseph?s Hospital. William, previously of Jackson, OH was a resident of Syracuse for the past 53 years and was the son of the late Ruben and Edith Dollison.
William was a member of the National Guard for 20 years before working at New Process Gear as a master machine repairman for 23 years before retiring. William was a U.S. Army Air Force Veteran who served during WWII D-Day at Normandy and under General Patton with the Red Ball Express.
William was predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Helen in 1998. Surviving are two daughters, Diane Anderson of North Syracuse and Catherine Steven Gierer of Ontario, NY, a son, James Jill Dollison of Warners, and eight grandchildren, Sean, Amanda, Michael, James, Rachael, Sharon, Jeffrey, and Ryan, sister-in-law, Margaret Meier and her daughters, Joan and Mary, of Camillus.
Funeral Services will be at 9:30am Tuesday at Krueger Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St., Margaret?s Church. Burial will be in St. Mary?s Mausoleum.
