Veronica "Verna" Domalik, 86, of Mattydale, died Tuesday at St. Joseph's Hospital. Verna was a native of Moosic, PA, and resided on Breman Ave since 1949. She was the daughter of the late Marion and Mary Kaminski Blados.
Verna was formerly employed at General Electric, Porter Cable, and Rockwell International before retiring in the 1980's. She loved to drive her cars everywhere and enjoyed the freedom it gave her. Verna was a communicant of St. Margaret's Church and volunteered as the cook at their rectory for many years.
In addition to her parents, Verna was predeceased by her husband, Edward Domalik, in 1992 and by her siblings: Stella Widowski, Celia Fialkowski, Josephine Radle, Sue Ann Baronowski, and Edward Blados.
Surviving are her three sisters: Jean Rivembark of Kingston, NY, Ann Puchalski, and Helen Levy, both of Moosic, PA; a brother: Stanley Blados of Silver Springs, MD; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Friday from 10:30 am-12 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale, and a prayer service will follow at 12 pm at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 12:30 pm at St. Margaret's Church in Mattydale. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse.
