Helen (Pugh) Doughty, 62, of West Ostrander Ave. in Syracuse, passed Saturday, December 11th at her home. Born in Rome, NY, to the late David J. and Lillian (Smith) Pugh, Helen grew up and resided in the Syracuse area most of her life. She attended Nottingham High School with the class of 1977.
Helen loved collecting butterflies, playing word search games and spending time with her family. She worked as a stay-at-home mom and loved her job.
She was predeceased by her husband of 20 years, Robert “Skeeter” Doughty in 2014 and by her four siblings: Raymond Pugh, Michael Pugh, Wayne Hughes, and Bonnie Hughes.
Surviving are her two sons, Robert C. (Keesha) Doughty, Jr. and Alen (Gina) Doughty, all of Syracuse; her six siblings: Eva Doughty, twin sister Hilda Doughty, Arthur Pugh, Berta Crumb, William Hughes, and Edwin Hughes; grandchildren: Robert, Ryan, Rhyley, Alex, Kenzi, Bella Rose, Nathan, Jayden, Ethan, Greyson, and Jaxsyn; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling Hours are Friday from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale, with a Celebration of Life following at 4:00 PM.
