Robert "Skeeter" Doughty, 65, of Wadsworth Street in Syracuse, passed away Saturday at home. Born and raised on the South side of Syracuse, he attended Nottingham High School and was the son of the late Ronald and Mary Doughty.
Skeeter was employed as a janitor for more than 20 years for R&R Janitorial in East Syracuse before retiring in 2000. He was a hunting and fishing enthusiast.
He was predeceased by his three brothers, Raymond, Bill, and Albert Doughty.
Skeeter is survived by his two sons: Robert (Keesha) C. Doughty Jr. and Alex (Gina) Doughty both of Syracuse; five grandchildren: Rob, Ryan, Rhyley, A.J., and Kenzi; his three sisters: Sherri Graves of Syracuse, Laurie Doughty of Syracuse, and Barbara "Cathy" Ternosky of Elbridge; and three brothers: Joe of Syracuse, John of Cortland, and Ron of Bridgeport.
