Ellen M. Barr, 73, lifelong resident of Mattydale, passed away Friday, November 17, 2023. Before retiring, she worked at Crouse Hospital for 34 years in the Admitting Department.

She is survived by her two sons, Jeffrey (Priscilla) Scheirer of Elka Park, NY and Jamie Scheirer of Panama City Beach, Florida; a brother, Lynn Barr with whom she resided; and three grandchildren: Austin Mowry, Dylan and Zoe Scheirer.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CNY S.P.C.A., 5878 E. Molloy Rd., Mattydale, NY 13211.
