Elizabeth "Betty" Emmert
May 7, 2005 Elizabeth "Betty" Emmert, 82, of Edden Lane, N. Syracuse, died Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital. A native of Lehighton, PA, Mrs. Emmert resided in North Syracuse since 1947. Betty retired in 1982, after 16 years with the sales order department ofCarrier Corp. She was a longtime member of Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in North Syracuse and was very active in church groups and activities. She was also a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Centerville Chapter #185. She was predeceased by her sister, Catherine Zimmerman, in 1984 and is survived by her husband of 59 years, Willard "Bill" Emmert; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey K. and Lois A. Emmert of Chelsea, MI, and Eric G. and Debra S. Emmert of Cicero; a sister, Eleanor West of North Syracuse; four grandchildren: Meghan, Nicole, Bob and Steve; four great-grandchildren: Madison, Tyler, Jessica and Brandon. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Luther Memorial Church. Entombment will follow in the church's columbarium. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale.
