Ruth F. Falso, 83, longtime resident of 704 Campbell Road in Mattydale, died Friday at Van Duyn Nursing Home.
She worked as a secretary for Dr. Paul Maglione, MD in North Syracuse for more than 30 years. Ruth also worked for many years part-time at Jim's Fish Fry. She enjoyed playing bingo, reading and was also an amateur author of several murder mystery novels.
Ruth was the youngest and last surviving of eleven children born in her family and is predeceased by her siblings: Patricia, Yenna, Helen, Eva, Elaine, Freddy, Ginger, Charlie, Lil, and Julie.
Surviving are her two children: George Mary Falso of Sunbury, PA and Cynthia Falso of Syracuse; two grandchildren: Brian Jen Falso and Jason Falso; her three great grandchildren: Skyler Falso, Kaycee Baker, and Ryan Metzger; and a great great grandson, Cameron Ross.
Friends may call Wednesday from 10-11am at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale with an 11 am funeral service following. Contributions in Ruth's memory may be made to St. Margaret's Church, 203 Roxboro Rd., Mattydale, NY 13211.
