V. "Jerry" Fischer Jr

V. "Jerry" Fischer, Jr., of North Syracuse, passed away Monday, May 14, 2018 at Menorah Park in Dewitt. Jerry was raised in Dewitt where he graduated from Jamesville Dewitt High School in 1958. He resided in Clay for 20 years before moving to the North Syracuse area.
Jerry was a US Navy veteran who retired in 2016 after 11 years as a mail handler for the US Postal Services at Taft Road. He was an accomplished oil painter that created portraits and landscapes. Jerry also enjoyed finishing carpentry and spending time in nature, especially the forest.
Surviving are his wife of 23 years, Debbie Allen Fischer, six children, his in-laws, eight grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
Contributions in Jerry's memory may be made to the family, c/o Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale, NY 13211.
The family has planned an informal Celebration of Life at Pratt's Falls Park in the Spruce Grove Picnic Area for Saturday, June 9th at 1pm. If you follow the links to the left for "Memories" then "Memorial Program", you will see a map provided of the Park area.
