Sally (Foley) Scalzo

Sally A. (Foley) Scalzo, 57, life resident of Mattydale, passed away Friday, April 13th, unexpectedly at her home. Sally was the daughter of the late James and Irene (McGillicuddy) Foley and a 1979 graduate of North Syracuse High School. She earned her Associates' Degree in Business from Bryant and Stratton College.

Sally worked as a Workers' Comp. Specialist for Hartford Insurance Company for 10+ years. Since then, she worked as a Home Health Aide for several years. For the past six years, Sally was devoted to caring for her grandchildren. She was life member of Cam-Nels Social Club and a communicant of St. Margaret's Church.

She was predeceased by her siblings: Jimmer Foley, Joanie Kowalski, and Thomas Foley.

Sally is survived by her children: Celeste Scalzo of Solvay and Mathew Scalzo of Mattydale; her siblings: Elia (Richard) McClusky of Solvay, Michael O'Mara of North Syracuse, John (Kathy) Foley of Tipp Hill, Mary Ellen "Mimi" (Tim) Scouten of Baldwinsville and James Priano Jr. of Syracuse;
four grandchildren: Jelena, Alana, Samson and Carmello Scalzo; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins.

Friends may call on Friday from 5-7 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale, with Funeral Services following at 7:00 pm.
